Chaplain, Captain Jenna Carson
serves in the United States Air Force. While training for ministry at Harvard Divinity School, she began asking her church to allow women to serve as military chaplains. After several years of petitioning, she became the first female military chaplain endorsed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Before serving in the Air Force, Jenna worked as a hospital and prison chaplain. She holds a BA from Brigham Young University and a Master of Divinity from Harvard, where she co-led the school’s Transformative Leadership and Spiritual Development course. She earned four units of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education.
Jenna is also a Kripalu-certified Yoga Therapist and co-host of Guiding Light Podcast. She loves interfaith dialogue and public speaking, and has delivered presentations at Harvard, Oxford, and Brigham Young University.
Originally from Kentucky and Idaho, Jenna currently lives in Mississippi with her two rescue tabby cats, Ginger and Destiny.
